YOUNG OFFICIAL SPOTLIGHT: ALISHA, 16

ree

This Officials Month, we’re delighted to introduce Alisha, one of our dedicated young officials here at Vipers Basketball Club. Alisha has shown real commitment to learning the game from a different perspective, stepping up as both a referee and table official. Her enthusiasm, calm approach, and willingness to keep developing her skills make her a fantastic role model for others who might be thinking about getting involved in officiating. Earlier this year, Alisha’s hard work was recognised when she was awarded Young Referee of the Year by Basketball England in the North East Region – a fantastic achievement that highlights just how far she has come. We’re excited to share her journey and hear her thoughts on what it means to be part of the team that keeps basketball running smoothly.
